Excellent food and service, near lower end of theater district. Fast service . Did 6pm reservations and out by 7 in time for theater. Amazing food. Been there 2x in 1 week. Every dish was stellar. Ordered truffle cauliflower both times. Best bite. I could see Michelin 3 star charging lots for small taste of this dish. Truffle fried rice was less over the top but excellent and tasted different. Pork belly app had texture ( cucumber) with " spicy" bean sauce which was excellent, not spicy but assertive. Macadamia nut shrimp in chili garlic sauce was excellent, not spicy. Wood ear salad was flavored with light touch of vinegar, soy and sesame oil. Refreshing. My friends who were spice adverse were happy. I like spicy but do not appreciate when it overwhelms other flavors. All were perfectly balanced and different. Highly recommend. They have lunch specials too

The food here is DELICIOUS! I had the dried chili fried chicken which is so spicy but so good, it's hard to resist. Their fried noodles are also spectacular. The portions are large and great for sharing. I'd skip the ribs in the future but I would love to go back and try their soups! The service was quick, and they have a decent amount of seating as well. For a Michelin guide restaurant and a midtown restaurant, the prices are affordable especially given the portion sizes.

I really am excited about their expanded menu--especially the new dishes with more fish and mushrooms. I am in favor about new Asian cuisines not only honoring tradition, and authenticity but evolving to more healthy micronutrients to keep our bodies more flexible and strong especially with more protein. It's not about us being thinner but more flexible, strong--and being to play basketball and hit a legendary golf stroke! The service here is old school but friendly and helpful. They use credit and debit card machines like in Europe which is what everyone needs to do--i.e., be more mobile and connected. I like the vibe of these friendly tables--I refer to it as the Asian trattorias! Some more high tech decor and contemporary music would move their ambiance into the modern culinary generation.

Cool restaurant. Soup was just what I needed. Wish it was served a little hotter but delicious nonetheless. They also give you a few orange slices to end the meal with which were sweet and juicy. Yum!

Next stop: Peppercorn Station! Came with a friend for lunch and we got two lunch specials. The mapo tofu was perfect, and the double cooked pork was also excellent. Great deal overall!

I was in the mood for some spicy noodles. When I was walking around the Gramercy area, I noticed this spot. I had to come back another time for lunch. It's not fancy or anything, and the service wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. They were prompt with the seating, taking down the order, bringing over the food, etc... I got the Dan Dan noodles lunch special, which came with this slightly picked vegetable and a soda on the side. I have no idea what it was, but it went well with the dish. They refilled my water and attended to anything I needed. The price point wasn't bad at all. However, there are so many other asian restaurants, and it's a dime a dozen, so I doubt I will be returning.

Peppercorn Station was an experience. The restaurant is always busy and the staff are always working to keep your water glass full, cause you will need lots of it. We shared the Dry Chili Fried Chicken Plate and the Assorted Pea Noodles. The Chili Chicken was beyond spicy. My entire mouth, including lips, were numb. However, it was an inviting level of spiciness and the slight tinge of relief came from the noodles. If you're looking for good Szechaun food, come to the Peppercorn Station. You will enjoy this cuisine..... but prepare your palate for some five alarm excitement.
